Creating a Meaningful Ceremony...as unique as your loved one

Funeral services today no longer have to be limited to what people recall from the services of past generations. Today, there are no rules! A funeral or memorial service should express the joys experienced during an entire lifetime, and the joy of living means different things to different people. Meaningful funeral and memorial ceremonies don’t just happen. They are well thought out events that demand your focus, your time, and the guidance of an expert, your funeral director. The services we create together to honor the memory of your loved one should celebrate his or her choices, honor the relationship they built, and their experiences in life. You may wish to consider some of these service reflection options to allow family and friends to truly celebrate your loved ones’ life with true meaning. Our ability to create meaningful ceremonies is not limited to the options below. Please talk with your funeral director to create a service as unique as your loved one.

Butterfly and Dove Releases
Our staff will coordinate this symbolic ceremony. For millennia, the butterfly has been a symbol of the resurrection and the dove a symbol of the human soul. A dove release is also an iconic way to help family members during the grieving process by a literal act of “letting go.” Releasing live butterflies or doves is not only a touching ceremony, but a wonderful way to include young children in the funeral services.

Memory Collages, Tables, Photographs, Scrapbooks, and Mementos
Our directors can provide memory boards for the display of snapshot photos and other memorabilia. These encourage conversations of special times and happy memories. Individual photographs in frames are encouraged as well. Other items that reflect the personality of your loved one would be a wonderful asset to the visitation or service as well.
Weather it would be saddles, quilts, service awards, pottery, hand made specialties, sports memorabilia, or other items of interest. Displaying these items reflect your loved ones occupation, interests, hobbies, and brings their unique story to life for those who attend the service. We can display all items of your choice within our funeral home.

Balloon Release
A balloon release allows everyone to participate in the act of “letting go,” and at very little expense. Allow family members and guests to write a message on the balloon and release them together for a beautiful finish to the end at a funeral, graveside or memorial service. Select a single color or array of beautiful rainbow of colors for a beautiful display. Our staff can order and deliver the balloons to any venue.

Celebrants
Think of our celebrants as master storytellers. They meet with you and learn about your loved one during a “Story Telling Hour.” Then they will design and lead a meaningful, personalized memorial tribute—making the service is as unique as your loved ones’ life. There will truly be a service with crying, laughter and an abundance of love for all to remember.

Freeman Video Tributes
Allow our staff to put together a video tribute to tell the story of a life to share at the ceremony or gathering with our Freeman Legacy Video Tribute. We can even upload the video to your loved ones’ online obituary. We’ll also provide you with a copy of the tribute as an heirloom to treasure and share with others for generations to come. The video tribute can also be of comfort to family members as a healing part of the grieving process. Some families can make their own video, but the time involved can be long, intense and stressful. Our staff is fully capable in handling the production of these for the families we serve.

Military Honors
We are proud to assist those who have served our country. We frequently arrange for our nation’s veterans to be honored with special military observances, this may include a color guard detail, bugler sounding “Taps”, rifle volley salute, and folding and presentation of the flag by the military honors team. Our funeral directors are well versed in the various requirements and we have contacts with all branches of the military, so the arrangements can be made easily and seamlessly. Military honors may be conducted at the cemetery, funeral home or another venue location.
We know that you can never go back and do it over. The healing journey begins with knowing you did the best you could to honor your loved ones’ life, and our professional staff are here to help. Our services include a number of Freeman Family Tribute services. You will find that these high quality value service enhance the choices you make, and we are proud to have them available for your selection.
