It was 2 A.M. when the doorbell rang. Ryan Freeman had arrived at our Columbia home to take charge of my mother, who had expired 2 hours previously. Despite the early arrival, Ryan was fully dressed in a quiet suit, and when he entered, a sense of calm efficiency entered with him. Everything was handled with great care and concern for the family, and respect for my mother. That sense of decorum and efficiency remained throughout the coming days, so filled with arrangements. The entire staff at Freeman's proved to be thoughtful and accommodating. No detail was omitted nor overlooked. No request was too frivolous. We were made to feel very welcome and the communications were excellent. We also received information that would help us with all the formalities in the coming weeks. Everyone at Freeman's was affable, respectful, and extremely kind, and this made a difficult experience so much easier. Thank you, Ryan and staff, for your wonderful, thoughtful service. Our first encounter with Ryan Freeman was at 4:00am when he and his crew came to take our loved one to prepare her for the funeral and burial. Ryan was so kind, expressing condolences and providing us guidance on what would be happening next. At the funeral home, Phil Freeman guided us through the initial planning, but it was Ryan and Becca Richards who worked with us on the details and provided us with very useful suggestions. Both were extremely gracious and responsive to our requests, often refining our ideas for a better service. Our loved one was beautifully presented, with the flowers and memorial tables arranged so that the visitation provided a loving remembrance. At the funeral Mass, Becca directed our movements from the back of the church so that everyone knew what to do and when. A few days after the services, Becca even stopped by our house with a belated memorial donation that they had received. Thank you Phil, Ryan and Becca for helping us present loving services for our Mom.Item Link List Item 4

I was asked to play for a funeral at Freeman's. I had never been there before and I had to set up my keyboard. I had the best helping hands to get me set up. They pitched in as soon as I drove up. I can truly say all involved with the planning, prep work, and service for my grandma did an amazing job. I was at such peace with saying my final goodbye knowing it was done the way she deserved! I recently lost my mother who lived in Missouri while living in Florida. I had been blessed to have never had to make funeral arrangements so I was very unfamiliar with the process. Freeman Mortuary was able to start the planning process over the phone while I was driving in. When I arrived in Jefferson City I was able to go by and finalize the arrangements. They were very professional and thorough during the process, to the point of details I would have never thought of. They returned phone calls when promised and made sure every detail was discussed and covered. I can not covey how much this level of service made a difference during a difficult time.Item Link

We recently had to say goodbye to our beloved husband and father. Hospice called Freeman's and Kevin Clardy arrived at my home to pick up our loved one. From that moment on I was guided very gently to make the needed choices for the final arrangements. On arriving at the funeral home, Mr. Clardy informed us of all possible choices we had to make and gently lead me down the most difficult road. Ryan Freeman took the obituary information that Kevin Clardy had complied though conversation and remembrance, placing that information into the finished format. During the funeral the staff was extremely aware of every need and asked before we even realized. Kevin and Ryan made a very difficult day from extremely difficult to bearable. The kindness and professional attention to my husband’s funeral was outstanding. I will always be eternally grateful to each and every staff member that in any way worked on this day.Item Link
