Our Facility

Our Facility

Our team is excited to announce the completion of our chapel renovation and facilities update to further meet our mission. We have spent two years working through details of this renovation to ensure we will be able to offer the most accommodating and flexible space for the diverse needs of the families we serve. We understand the importance of the relationships we maintain with our families, but also the importance of the facilities we maintain and the difference it can make to provide a true celebration of life service.

Operating out of the same facility for 55 years has had its challenges. What families expect out of a service and what it takes to honor the life of a loved one has changed dramatically over the years.

The recently completed renovation project addressed the following aspects of those changes:

  1. A better flow of family and friends through our building – Even though we didn’t add any square footage to our building, we feel this new renovation has doubled the size of our chapel. We recognized inefficiencies in the way we were using the chapel and were able to change the way people move through our building to utilize every inch.
  2. Added aesthetic value –We put a tremendous amount of time to make our new chapel not feel like a business, but like someone’s home in which you would feel comfortable visiting and sharing memories with friends. Through the planning process, much consideration went into how we display families pictures, flowers and the placement of our antique furniture we have obtained throughout our 55 year history . Built-in display cases will allow families more room to display photos and personal items much like they do in their own homes.
  3. Flexible space – The reconfiguration of our space now allows for small, medium and large services so every service and setup is unique to the family we are working with. Families will be able to give our team direction on how to setup our chapel to best fit their needs.
  4. Live streaming a service through our website – We live in a very mobile society; unfortunately, sometimes friends and family are not able to come to our facility for planning or to attend services. In fact, many of the arrangements we make for services are even done over the phone. About 75% of the families we help have a family member that is unable to attend the service due to a variety of reasons. We now will have the ability to stream a service live through our website so family and friends across the world will be able to feel like they are a part of the service.
  5. Updated audio visual –Many families also would like video clips, you tube videos, or graphics incorporated during their loved one’s service. We now have technology in place to accommodate the expanding audio visual to meet the needs of our family.
  6. Family lounge –We have incorporated a family lounge area to provide a space for family to gather privately.
  7. Renovated ADA restrooms – We doubled the size of both the men’s and women’s restrooms and they have become ADA compliant with a baby changing station.
While the majority of the renovation is complete, we will be continuing to find new ways to better our services. If you would like to see our new space, please feel free to stop by our funeral home anytime you see we aren’t conducting a service. Our team will be happy to give you a private tour and talk more about the possibilities it provides.
