Obituary for Norma Fuller

Norma Fuller
Mrs. Norma Helen Fuller, age 87, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Helen was born October 28, 1930 in Jerome, Mo. the daughter of Ray C. and Opal A. (Hance) Prewett. She was married on March 4, 1950 in Waynesville, Mo. to Calvin Clifford Fuller.

Helen was raised in the Dixon area and graduated from Dixon High School. She then married and moved to Jefferson City, where she became a dedicated housewife and mother to her five children. It wasn’t until later in life that Helen took a job with the Missouri Dept. of Revenue for sixteen years.

She attended the First Church of God and the Jefferson City Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday School and Bible School.

Helen was the foundation that her children built their lives around. She instilled in them the importance of family values, patience, and unconditional love.

When she did have spare time, she enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening, fishing and sewing. She was also active in several bowling leagues and the founding member of the “Happy Hollow Club”.

Survivors include: her husband of sixty-eight years, Calvin C. Fuller; five children, Anise Colvin, Mary Walker, Sharon (Dan) Ott, Terry (Gail) Fuller, and Garry (Dee Ann) Fuller, all of Jefferson City, Mo.; two sisters-in-law, Genieve Prewett of Dixon, Mo. and Darlene Fuller of Cedar, Ks; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Elenore Gaddy and Roseannis Gray, one brother, Franklin Prewett, three grandchildren, and three sons-in-law.

Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 12:00 pm Monday, June 18, 2018.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm Monday, June 18, 2018 in the Freeman Chapel with the Pastor Jeff Higbie and Pastor Chad Roberts officiating. Graveside services will follow at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Dunkard Cemetery in Waynesville, Mo. or Hospice Compassus.
