Obituary for Andy "Andy" Healey

Andy "Andy" Healey
Mr. Dennis Andrew “Andy” Healey, age 59 years, of Jefferson City, Mo. passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Melody House.

Andy was born on September 27, 1958 in Jefferson City, Mo. a son of Daniel J. and Susan M. (McDonald) Healey.

A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Andy attended Helias High School.

Andy fought some disabilities in his life but that never affected his outgoing personality and loving nature. Andy always had a big heart, always giving. He had a heart of gold and always had something good to say about someone. Andy always looked on the bright side of things, especially when things were rough. He had a great sense of humor, always ready to tell a joke or make a pun.

He had a deep faith and could be found reading his Bible many days. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

Andy enjoyed listening to rock n’ roll music, watching movies, fishing and cheering for the former St. Louis Ram’s Football team. Andy was fascinated with and collected old coins and paper money and loved to give some for gifts. He was known for saying it made him feel good to give.

Survivors include: one brother, Thomas J. Healey of Columbia, South Carolina; two aunts, Mary Ann Mathis of Overland Park, Ks. and Elaine Healey of Jefferson City, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Daniel Healey, Kevin Healey, Michael Healey and one sister, Stephanie Healey (Rose).

Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Saturday, April 7, 2018.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, April 7, 2018 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Cesar Anicama officiating. Graveside services and inurnment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Samaritan Center, 1310 East McCarty, Jefferson City, MO 65101.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
