Mary was born May 4, 1930 in Kansas City, Mo. a beloved adopted daughter of Clinton and Martha (Kitchen) Bledsoe. She was married on November 21, 1950 in Jefferson City, Mo. to Paul T. Brandt who preceded her in death on February 9, 2011.

A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Mary was employed at International Shoe Factory and in the cafeteria at St. Peter School. Later, she was employed as a cook at the Prenger Family Center for sixteen years prior to her retirement on May 1, 1995.

Mary enjoyed gardening and was happiest when digging in the dirt. She loved to travel, often with the Classic Club, with her favorite trips being to Colorado, Alaska, and New York City. She was a great cook with special family meals but was especially known for her pies.

Mary lived in the same neighborhood for almost sixty years. She cherished time spent with her dear friends and neighbors, Edris Horn and Shirley Spencer, while they solved their families’ and the world’s problems.
