Obituary for Vivian Schulte

Mrs. Vivian Kathryn “Vicki” Schulte, age 82 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away peacefully Monday, August 28, 2017 at Jefferson City Manor.

Vicki was born March 11, 1935 in Dallas County, Mo. the daughter of William F. and Mary M. (Scrivner) Stickley. She was married on July 5, 1953 to Von West and he preceded her in death. On July 27, 1978, she married James Schulte, who preceded her in death in February, 1990.

A resident of the Jefferson City area for over 50 years, she helped her husband at Daisy Delight Restaurant from 1977 until 1988. Before her work at Daisy Delight, she was a country music artist and was passionate about country music her entire life.

She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering on all Missouri sports teams.

Vicki was a foster parent and will be remembered for her caring heart. She truly cared deeply for her family and friends.

Survivors include: two sons, Tommy West of Macks Creek, Mo. and Josh Schulte of Jefferson City, Mo.; one sister, Jean Bloomfield of Lebanon, Mo.; three brothers, Robert Stickley of Jefferson City, Mo., Michael Stickley of Lebanon, Mo., and Frank Stickley of Springfield, Mo.; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; one son, Rick West; two sisters, Lisa Graham and Mary Lyons; one brother, Jerry Stickley; and an infant brother, Freddie Lane Stickley.

Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Plad Cemetery in Plad, Mo.

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the charity of their choice.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
