Mrs. Anna M. Jarrett, age 72 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the Capital Region Medical Center.

 

Ann was born November 5, 1939 in Tuscumbia, Mo. the daughter of J.F. and Eula Kallenbach.  She was married on January 1, 1960 in Jefferson City, Mo. to Jack R. Jarrett.

 

A lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area, Ann graduated from Tuscumbia High School and attended Lincoln University.

 

She was employed with the Missouri House of Representatives, the Missouri Chamber of Commerce, and the Missouri Insurance Agents Assn.  She was employed as an Administrative Assistant for Missouri Senator John T. Russell for over thirty years prior to her retirement in 2004.

 

Ann was a member of the Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ in Jefferson City where she was also a Sunday School Teacher for many years.  She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and a Little League Baseball Coach.

  

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending her retirement with her children and grandchildren.

 

Survivors include: her husband of fifty-two years, Jack Jarrett; the proud parent of two sons, Jack R. “Rob” Jarrett, Jr. of Overland Park, Kansas and Michael L. Jarrett and his wife Cheryl of O’Fallon, Mo.; one sister, Marie Swanson and her husband Ronald of Manchester, Mo.; three grandchildren, Halley and Karley Jarrett of Overland Park, Kansas and David Jarrett of O’Fallon, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Karen Jarrett; one brother-in-law, Larry Jarrett and his friend Cauline Edmonson; and two nephews, Jeff Jarrett and Steve Swanson.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

 

Visitation will be at the Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Friday, July 20, 2012.

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ with Brent Newton officiating. Private graveside services will be conducted in the Mausoleum of Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Capital Region Medical Center Foundation or the Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ.

          

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

To Ann's Family, I was so saddened to read of Ann's passing. I worked with Ann in the MO Senate. I loved her laugh and she laughed and joked a lot. We could always count on a smile from her and everyone enjoyed her quick wit. Such a loss but she'll never be forgotten.

Im very sad to here of Ann's passing. I worked with her at the Senate. I remember her being a very nice lady,and always joking around in the halls of the Senate.

To Ann's family and friends...I am so sorry to read about Ann. I worked with her and she was the highlight of my day. Her and Diane kept everyone laughing all of the time. What a joy she was to be around. I am so sorry for your loss, she is surely looking down on all of us with that wonderful smile of hers.
