Mrs.
Oline N. “Ilene” Hoffman, age 90 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Friday,
April 6, 2012 at her home.
Oline
was born August 21, 1921 in Deer, Mo. the daughter of Lucine and Grace Matthews
Perrey. She was married on September 3,
1964 in Mexico, Mo. to Almon “Ham” Hoffman, who preceded her in death on
October 16, 2005.
A
lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Oline was a 1940 graduate of
Jefferson City High School.
Oline
was employed as the controller for Holsum Bakery, International Brands, Inc.
from 1962 until 1978. From 1978 until
1984, she was employed with the Jefferson City Public Schools. Later, she was employed as a bookkeeper with
Judith Ann’s Fashions in Holts Summit, Mo. until her retirement
She
was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Holts Summit, Mo.
She
was an avid bridge player but was known for being a kind and loving mother,
grandmother, and great grandmother.
Family and friends always knew her as “Mom.”
Survivors
include: one daughter, Judith A. Dickrader and her husband Kenny of Jefferson
City, Mo; one son, James R. Wilson and his wife Bobbie of Fulton, Mo.; one step
son, Ron J. Hoffman and his wife Joanie of Grandview, Mo.; one brother, Ralph
Perrey and his wife Peggy of Jefferson City, Mo.; five grandchildren, Kimberly
Black and her husband Terry of Lee's Summit, Mo., Tina Neill and her husband
Allan of Florence, Alabama, Susan Feely and her husband Todd of Jefferson City,
Mo., Donna Bohnert and her husband Shannon of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Jackie
McSpadden and her husband Scott of Batesville, Arkansas; thirteen great
grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Rheta Roberts,
and one brother, Edgar Perrey.
Visitation
will be at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Monday, April 9, 2012.
Funeral
services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, April 9, 2012 in the Freeman
Chapel with the Reverend Dusty Klein officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at
Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Those
desiring may make memorial contributions to Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
