Mrs. Lillian L. Jordan, age 82 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the University Hospital, Columbia, Mo.
Lillian was born August 22, 1927 in Jefferson City, Mo. the daughter of Hugo and Marie Schupp Loeffler. She was married on December 28, 1946 in Jefferson City, Mo. to R.H. Jordan who preceded her in death on January 12, 2005.
A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Lillian was a 1945 graduate of Jefferson City High School.
She was employed with the State of Missouri for several years and later was employed for over twenty years with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 833 retiring as the Office Manager.
Lillian was a member of the Central United Church of Christ, the Eleventh Circle, the Cultured Pearls, and was active with the Class of 1945.
She was a volunteer at the Capital Region Medical Center and at the Senior Center at Capital Mall. Lillian enjoyed playing cards but most important was time spent with family.
Survivors include: four children, Linda Albertson and her husband Marshall of Jefferson City, Mo., Debbie Vieth and her husband Gary of Holts Summit, Mo., Cherie Diemler and her husband Tim of Jefferson City, MO., and Mark Jordan and his wife Jackie of Jefferson City, Mo.; eleven grandchildren, Danny and Trish Tellman, Michael and Jody Tellman, David and Shelly Finley, Eric and Amber Vieth, Isaiah, Levi, and Lance Albertson, Clayton and Brittany Jordan, Rachel Diemler and Makayla Jordan-Diemler; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, and four sisters.
Visitation will be at the Central United Church of Christ from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Sunday, August 8, 2010.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday at the Central United Church of Christ with the Reverend Dr. Stephen Buchholz officiating. Private entombment will be in the Mausoleum of Riverview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Central United Church of Christ.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

Your family is in my prayers. I been in touch with the family, except for Mark. Mark I know how much sadness is in your heart right now and will be for sometime. But, always remember she is still with all of us in spirit. She was a great lady and everyone loved her. |

Lil will missed at Chapel Hill she was such a sweet heart and would help with anything that needed to be done. It still upsets me that I didn't just go check on her that day because she would never miss our Wednesday morning coffee unless she was gone.
