Mr. Harvey L. Morgan, age 67 years, of Lohman, Mo., died Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at his home..

 

Harvey was born February 11, 1943 in Neosho, Mo. the son of Clayton C. and Mildred Nell Pierson Morgan.  He was married on August 14, 1992 in Jefferson City, Mo., to Sharon L. Kespohl. 

 

A resident of the central Missouri area for the past thirty-eight years, Harvey received a B.S. from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Kansas and a M.S.W. from the University of Missouri at Columbia.

 

He was employed with the Missouri Dept. of Social Services and the Missouri Division of Family Services retiring as Fiscal Management  Administrator on July 1, 2000.

 

He was a member of the Conservation Federation of Missouri and the Capital City Fly Fishers.

  

Harvey enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

     

Survivors include; his wife, Sharon L. Morgan; one son, Robert L. Morgan and his wife Tonya of Claremore, Oklahoma; three step daughters, Cynthia Lynn Roesch and her husband Michael of Pacific, Mo., Catherine Ellen Michel of St. Louis, Mo., and Cassandra  Ruth Michel of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Barbara Ann Allan of Joplin, Mo.; one brother, Jimmie Clayton Morgan and his wife Juanice of Pittsford, New York; six grandchildren, Robert, Dustin, Hollie, Kari, Jennifer, and Tyler; nine great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Sandra Sloniker of LaBelle, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Fred Kespohl of Palmyra, Mo.; and a family friend, Jim Tieszen of St. Louis, Mo.

 

Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM Saturday, May 29, 2010.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Conservation Federation of Missouri.

          

Funeral  arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
