Mrs. Sarah Geraldine James, age 87 years, of Jefferson City, MO., died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the Villa Marie Nursing Center.

     Geraldine was born March 27, 1923 in Iberia, MO. the daughter of Jesse J. and Sarah E. Farnham Bond, both deceased. She was married on July 8, 1961 in Iberia, MO. to Gerald W. James who preceded her in death on October 23, 1989.

     A life long resident of the central Missouri area, Geraldine graduated from Iberia High School and the Iberia Junior College.

     She was employed with the Missouri Dept. of Education, with the Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation Dept. and with Homemaker Health Care Services.

     Geraldine was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.

     Survivors include: two daughters, Denise Rook and her husband Chris of West Palm Beach, Florida and Debra James of Jefferson City, MO.; and two grandchildren, Dakota Himmerick and Chase Rook.

     A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, May 10, 2010 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Monte Shinkle officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at the Iberia City Cemetery, Iberia, MO.

     Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Monday.

     Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Assn.

     Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
